- The two day Layher Allround Training Part 2 course is delivered in either Auckland or Wellington.
Alternatively we can arrange for the course to be delivered at your scaffolding company’s premises. Contact us to discuss feasibility and requirements.

- This training course is designed for experienced scaffolders. Those scaffolders who have completed Layher Allround Training Part 1 will extend their knowledge of the Layher Allround Scaffolding System. Participants will learn about birdcages, loading bays, bay extensions, gap solutions, platform openings, trusses, movement of materials and public access scaffolds. Upon completion, participants will understand how to safely plan, build, and dismantle these solutions using the Layher Allround Scaffolding System. The training will be covered both in classroom and in practical builds.

This course is aimed towards participants who have experience in using Layher Allround, who wish to advance their knowledge and skills. This includes scaffolders who are working towards or have recently completed their Intermediate Ticket (Level 4 National Certificate in Scaffolding – Intermediate) or experienced scaffolders who have not previously used Layher Allround.
As this is a unique opportunity to learn intermediate skills using Layher Allround, we believe that scaffolders, supervisors, and business owners who can pass our evaluation or have completed our Layher Allround Part 1 Training Course will also gain a lot from attending this course.
- Participants will learn how to:
- Efficiently brace birdcages and loading bays.
- Calculate birdcage and loading bay capacities and leg loads.
- Safely install gap solutions and openings.
- Options for safe movement of materials on site.
- Use efficient scaffold design to build bay extensions (cantilevers) and bridging scaffolds.
- Calculate capacities of lattice beams.
Practically, participants will experience:
- Build and dismantle a tower scaffold
- Build and dismantle a birdcage scaffold.
- Safely add gap solutions and create openings.
- Build and dismantle cantilevers.
- Installation and removal of gin wheel hoist and GEDA rubbish chutes.
- Build and dismantle Layher Allround bridge.
- Build and dismantle catch fans and lattice beams (trusses).
- Candidates who successfully complete the course will receive a ‘Certificate of Achievement’ from Layher, together with a summary of the Learning Outcomes achieved.
- 2 days – 7:30 am to 5:00 pm
- Each participant must bring their own PPE and be able to use a harness competently.
- Completion of Layher Allround Training Part 1 or passing the required evaluation.
- Each participant must bring their own PPE and hold US23229 and US25045.
- All participants must bring the following: safety harness, helmet, safety boots, safety glasses, tool belt with hammer and ratchet.
- Minimum 4 and up to a maximum of 8 (per course). Spaces strictly limited.
- A non-refundable payment of NZD700.00 + GST per person is required to confirm a place on the course. This includes lunch and refreshments.
