Maari Platform Free Fall Life Boat Install
This technically challenging scaffold involved providing access to install a free fall life boat (FFLB) to the Maari Platform in the Taranaki Basin. DIALOG Fitzroy installed this 8.5m high x 16.5m long Layher Allround scaffold 28 m above sea according to very strict rules regarding working over water.
Commissioned safely
The build involved craning Layher Allround towers up to 12m high from the top deck and joining them using Layher Aluminium Beams spanning up to 6m. Transfield Worley Ltd Project Engineer Steve Walton said the structure was installed and commissioned safely and on time.
The access provided by DIALOG Fitzroy and Layher was a major contributing factor to the success of this project.
