Firefighter Challenge Tower
A 13 metre tall scaffolding tower on Wellington’s waterfront helps firefighters hone their skills in a competitive environment.
Scaffolding tower
Wellington Scaffolding assembled the Layher Allround scaffolding tower for the United Fire Brigades Association of New Zealand’s (UFBA) annual Firefighter Combat Challenge.
Hurricane rated
Chris Warren, Managing Director of Wellington Scaffolding, said “the tower was extremely sturdy and rigid especially thanks to the 1.09m plan braces and stringer stairs. The hurricane rated structure was built in under 5 hours and dismantled in just 3 hours.”
Container transport
The scaffolding tower was transported in a 20ft container to other UFBA Firefighter Combat Challenge locations around New Zealand.
