Public Access Pedestrian Footbridge
Layher UK were called upon to provide temporary access for passengers using a Network Rail station in the UK. The pedestrian bridge was erected in one weekend without the use of a crane and uses Layher Allround and the new Layher Allround Bridging System.
Successful temporary access solution
Layher Protect was fixed to the inside of the bridge to prevent objects from being dropped onto the railway tracks below. This successful temporary access solution will be used whilst the permanent bridge, a very old Victorian bridge is dismantled, repaired and cleaned, then re-built.
Thank you to Sean Pike of Layher UK for the use of these photos.
