Allround to The Octagon
Located in The Octagon Dunedin, Forsyth Barr House required re-cladding. Geeves Scaffolding were tasked with the job of providing safe access for contractors.
Geeves Scaffolding Operations Manager, Matt Oranje, said “the year-long project uses about 60 tonnes of Layher scaffolding gear. Scaffold consisted of Layher Allround 2.57m ledgers with 730mm transoms and stood 34 metres in height by 29 metres in length.”
Faster and lighter
“25% of the scaffold was built off cantilevered soldier beams that were bolted to the side of the building. Layher is a lot faster and lighter than any other scaffold system. It looks good too!” said Matt.
Matt continued “we used Layher’s excellent design service which gave us scaffold plans complete with gear list”.
Thank you Geeves Scaffolding for the use of these photos.
