Iron Stone Bridge
This picture-perfect suspended scaffold erected by Brazier Scaffolding was required for maintenance works on a cycle trail bridge. Using Layher’s Allround modular scaffolding system and Layher’s Aluminium Beams, Brazier Scaffolding built this 38m long suspended scaffold.
Up an down within a month
Glen Brazier commented, “the entire scaffold was up and down within a month. The main challenge for us was that the bridge needed to remain available to cyclists throughout the project. Nothing that the boys couldn’t handle, just some innovation from a cartage point of view.”
Allow access for workers
A Layher aluminium platform stair tower (3.07m x 1.4m) was also installed by Brazier’s to allow access for workers from the ground to the suspended working platforms, thus keeping the top of the bridge unimpeded for cyclists.
