Spantastic

A stunning display of scaffolding prowess and the strength of Allround. This bridge is 18m long and climbs 7m as it follows the contours of a shiploader conveyor. Six bays spur out successively, and though the boom was used for support at times during construction, the end result was totally free standing.

Detailed design and meticulous planning

As Paul Orvad, of Orvad (WA) Pty Ltd reported, “even when the scaffold was free spanning 14.5m, while only supported from the one end, there was only 10mm sag”. Detailed design by Julian Schrauth from our Technical Design team and meticulous planning by Orvad saw this job completed in under two days.
